Engine Cadet
TOMA welcomes prospective Engine Cadets who are eager to develop their technical expertise and pursue a long-term career in marine engineering. Candidates should possess a strong foundation in mechanical and engineering principles, along with the discipline and resilience required to work in high-pressure engine room environments. The program provides hands-on training, exposure to modern vessel machinery, and guidance from experienced engineers to help you build competence and confidence at sea.
We seek individuals who are detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of performing both routine and critical engine room tasks. A willingness to learn, problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team are key qualities that will set you apart in this role.
Requirements:
- Filipino Citizen
- Completed Academic Requirements – BS Maritime Engineering
- At least 5’4″ in height
- Complete documentary requirements – SRB/SID, E-registration, passport, STCW 2010, COC and COP from MARINA
- Physically and mentally fit
Completed Cadet Training in domestic TOMA-affiliated shipping companies is an advantage

Deck Cadet
TOMA welcomes prospective Deck Cadets who are driven to build a professional maritime career and are ready to uphold the highest standards of discipline, safety, and competence at sea. Ideal candidates demonstrate strong work ethic, adaptability in demanding environments, and a commitment to continuous learning while onboard. As part of our cadetship program, you will gain structured training, real-world vessel experience, and mentorship from seasoned officers to prepare you for future licensure and advancement in the maritime industry.
We are looking for individuals who can work effectively in a team, follow operational protocols with precision, and maintain professionalism both on and off duty. A proactive mindset, willingness to take initiative, and respect for maritime hierarchy and safety culture are essential traits for success in this role.
